Welcome to PawFecter Dog Training Services
Welcome
Hello, I’m Claire – founder of PawFecter Dog Training.
I’m a qualified, force-free dog trainer and reactivity coach, passionate about helping dogs and their humans build calm, confident and connected lives together.
My journey began with my own four spaniels, when I realised generic training simply wasn’t enough. I wanted a kinder, more effective way to support dogs as individuals – and that curiosity quickly grew into a deep passion for canine behaviour and positive, science-led training.
I specialise in supporting puppies, adolescent dogs and reactive dogs, focusing on understanding why behaviours happen rather than trying to mask them. My approach is compassionate, practical and tailored to each dog’s emotional needs, helping both ends of the lead feel safe, supported and understood.
Relationship-based training sits at the heart of everything I do. I believe progress comes from trust, clear communication, patience and enjoyment, not pressure or punishment. Alongside my professional qualifications, I am committed to ongoing learning and personal development, ensuring I offer up-to-date, evidence-based support at every stage of your dog’s journey.
Whether you’re starting out with a puppy or navigating the challenges of reactivity, I’m here to guide you with empathy, clarity and encouragement. Helping dogs and their humans grow together is what I love most – and I’d be delighted to support you on your journey.

“Claire has worked with me and my puppy in both a group and 121 capacity. She is really passionate about dogs and this absolutely comes through in her sessions. Claire is friendly and easy to talk to and she puts dog and human at ease. What’s great about Claire’s advice is she doesn’t just give you an instruction, she explains what it is you’re trying to achieve and how what you are doing relates to your dog’s mind. Teddy absolutely loved his sessions, and he is now enjoying being off the lead when we go for walks.”

I contacted Claire at Pawfector Dog Training Services, who had been recommended to me, as my 1 year old dog was not great loose lead walking and I also needed some help / advice with her recall skills. As soon as my dog Flo and I met Claire, she put us both at ease. Claire gave us great advice and ideas to try with Flo which have paid off. Flo now walks a lot on a loose lead and her recall is getting better. Claire started puppy play sessions in a secure field which I booked Flo on for a taster session and she’s been lots of times since. As soon as she hears Claire’s van pull up she gets excited and loves going with her. Claire provides a brilliant service, she is reliable, trustworthy, is so friendly and is very flexible. I am always relaxed when Flo goes with Claire as I know she is in very good hands. Flo took to Claire so easily and quickly which is a very telling sign in itself. Thank you Claire for a first class service.

We’ve had a 1-2-1 with Claire and she has now taken our boys out on two occasions. Dealing with a nervous pup Claire has given us fabulous tips to use when taking him out on walks, and we’ve noticed an enormous improvement already. Claire has given us hope that with gradual exposure to other dogs and strangers over time he’ll become a more confident dog. He’s already warmed to her and we are excited for Claire to work with him weekly. Our other already confident dog Banger is loving going along for the rides and being Beans’ cheerleader. Thanks Claire!
