Hello, I'm Claire - a dedicated dog trainer who enjoys helping young pups and their human companions get off to a great start together.

My own journey training dogs began a few years ago when I felt my four beloved spaniels deserved more personalised guidance than the generic training we had received. I believed there simply must be a better way to set up new pet owners like myself for happiness and success right from the start.

Eager to learn more positive, effective methods, I enthusiastically studied canine behaviour and force-free techniques relying purely on positive reinforcement. I explored the impressive body of research demonstrating these methods are the kindest and most effective approach. To stay current in this rapidly advancing field, I pursued accreditations from respected institutions like the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. My aim became to gently lead growing puppies and adolescent dogs - as well as struggling adult dogs and their owners - towards content, balanced lives using tailored training specific to each dog's unique needs and personality.

After achieving certification, I started PawFecter Dog Training because I found there was nothing more heartwarming than seeing dogs bloom through compassionate, empowering teaching. My approach focuses first and foremost on relationship nurturing between dog and human, clear communication, patience, and most importantly - having fun! I provide my clients the insight, tools and knowledge to deeply understand what makes their four-legged companion tick.
